Granite- Granite is the ultimate countertop material.
Its colors and beauty are perfect in both modern and traditional environments. It is
impervious to heat, easy to care for, and the hardest stone on earth. Because of
it's resistance to staining (due to its relative lack of porosity, especially
when sealed), granite has remained the number one choice of builders here and
abroad.
Marble- Besides its obvious beauty, marble has the
inherant quality of tradition and history. It is softer than granite because of
its softness and porosity. The colors are virtually endless and no two pieces are
alike. Marble gives any fireplace, bathroom, and wall an elegant and romantic look.
Limestone- Limestone is quickly becoming popular
with homeowners because of its less than "hi-tech" look. It does not show much
graining or crystalline structure and is more porous than marble. Limestone blends
well with any interior and exterior decor.
Manufactured Stone- Manufactured stone is man made
stone that is derived of unnatural mixtures such as resin or cement with the additive
of stone chips. It is more durable than stone or plastic because it is non porous and
never needs sealing. Manufactured stone is considered to be environment friendly.
